A young woman’s “journey from a local student to an international fashion icon serves as a beacon of inspiration,” says her nominator for The Inspiration Award.
“Cherise Trimingham … exemplifies inspiration and community spirit through her remarkable achievements and initiatives,” they said.
“A proud alumna of our St John’s School and Bulmershe School, Cherise has excelled in her field and made significant contributions locally and internationally. “After excelling at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion, Cherise launched her fashion brand, quickly gaining acclaim,” they added.
“Her talent and hard work led to showcasing her collections at prestigious events such as New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week, demonstrating her commitment to excellence and breaking boundaries in the competitive fashion industry.”
They said Cherise’s influence extends beyond her personal success. Recognising the challenges faced by emerging designers, she established an organisation that provides a platform for showcasing their work at London Fashion Week.
“This initiative has empowered many up-and-coming designers and fostered a supportive community where creativity and innovation thrive.
