The ‘caring’ chief executive officer of ACRE, the Alliance for Cohesion and Racial Equality in Reading has been nominated for the Putting Reading on the Map award.
Victor Koroma’s nominator said: “Victor is a person with high integrity, caring and diligence” helping the Reading community on employment, immigration and legal cases.
He also helped to raise awareness of prostate cancer among men from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds creating a men’s group at ACRE to provide information, advice and guidance on the disease.
ACRE’s aim is to promote equality, diversity and community cohesion. The award is sponsored by Jacobs the Jewellers and The Purple Turtle.
