Reading FC remain in the League One relegation zone following an away defeat to Cardiff City.
Manager Noel Hunt admitted that he is feeling the pressure of the demands of the job prior to the Cardiff game and scrutiny over his position is likely to increase with Reading in 22nd place after 12 matches.
The Royals have collected just 11 points from their opening 12 matches having picked up just two league wins, only Blackpool and Peterborough have less.
Following a dismal start to their league campaign, some fans have already voiced their growing frustrations and lack of patience with the management team at the club, while others have been more lenient and want Hunt to be given time to try and turn the situation around.
With a trip to the Welsh capital against a side competing at the other end of the table it was always going to prove to be a tricky test for Reading, however they did take a deserved lead into half-time after Lewis Wing added to his exceptional highlight reel of long range strikes with another stunner.
However, the game turned in the second-half as Brian Barry-Murphy’s side fought their way back into the contest and equalised just five minutes after the restart through Omari Kellyman and then went in front in the 65th minute through Yousef Salech which condemned Reading to defeat.
It was reported by FootballLeagueWorld a couple of weeks back that Hunt could be set to be dismissed if the team did not pick up a win away at Exeter, a game which they drew 1-1.
Now with another loss against their name time could be running out for Hunt to save his position with the potential of a relegation fight becoming very real at this moment in time.
