THAMES Valley Police has released CCTV images of people that they believe could have vital information regarding a case of attempted rape in Reading.

Police received reports that a woman had been sexually assaulted between 2.30am and 3am on Sunday, November 6.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Natasha Black, based at Reading police station, said: “We are releasing these images of two specific witnesses who were on Friar Street in the early hours of 6 November.

“They would likely have been on a night out on 5 November.

“We are very keen to locate these two individuals as we believe they may have interacted with the suspect.

“I would like to stress, these individuals are not suspected of any criminal activity, but may have important information to assist the investigation.

“If you recognise either of these people, or believe either of them is you, we would ask you to get in touch with Thames Valley Police, either online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43220499983.”
