A MAN caught by a police dog in in custody this morning after being arrested for drug driving in Theale.
The incident happened around 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 9, with a chase that started on the M4, eastbound near junction 16.
Wiltshire Police said its officers were acting on reports they had received about a vehicle and concerns over the manner of the driving.
A spokesperson for the force said the vehicle failed to stop for officers and was pursued to junction 12 for Theale near Reading, where the driver was halted through a tactical stop.
The man then made off on foot, but was successfully detained by a police dog called Conan.
The suspect, aged in his 30s and from Swansea, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He then failed a drugs wipe and was further arrested for driving under the influence of cocaine.
He remains in custody for questioning.
