THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a robbery which took place on Oxford Road in Reading.

The incident occurred outside the Tesco store on the junction of Oxford Road and Portman Road between 4.10pm and 4.30pm on Monday, February 6.

The offender stole a wallet from a man in his seventies, who fell to the ground during the course of the incident.

The victim did not require any hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a white woman with brown hair worn up on the top of her head, wearing a dark coat and white sliders.

Staff investigator Chris Birkitt based at Reading police station said: “We are appealing for witnesses following this incident.
