A WOMAN was left with facial injuries during a late-night assault in Reading town centre.
The incident happened outside the Walkabout pub in Wiston Terrace, off Friar Street, around 11pm on Tuesday, July 11.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, and said a 40-year-old homeless woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Tuesday.
She has been released on police bail until Thursday, October 5.
The victim was repeatedly punched and kicked in the head for around 10 minutes, and police said that there were several witnesses. She did not require hospital treatment.
Investigating officer PC James Hammond, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this assault to please come forward.
“This attack was witnessed by many people, but we are yet to speak to all of them so anyone who is yet to get in touch, please do.
