THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after jewellery reportedly worth thousands was stolen in Caversham.
Between 8.50pm and midnight on Saturday, August 17, two men broke into a business on Prospect Street by forcing entry to another adjoining business.
The two offenders had previously been seen loitering around the are of the Cheshire Street Car Park.
A necklace believed to be worth £2,000 was stolen along with a platinum ring, and clasps pendant loops made of gold and silver.
The first of the offenders is described as being black or of a mixed ethnic background and was wearing a sandy-coloured jacket with light-coloured jogging bottoms.
He was also wearing a baseball cap and a backpack.
The second offender is described as being a white male, wearing a dark, hooded jacket, dark combat trousers, and an Adidas baseball cap.
Police are appealing for anyone with information which might help the investigation into the incident.
Investigating officer PC Andrew Hearson, said: “We are appealing for witnesses following this burglary.
