THAMES Valley Police has released pictures of a person they wish to speak to as part of an appeal for information regarding an assault.

It follows an incident which took place on Basingstoke Road, Reading, where, at about 2.15pm on Tuesday, June 11, a man was was approached by the offender.

The victim, a man in his sixties, was verbally abused by the offender, who then rode off on an e-scooter.

The victim boarded a bus which was also then boarded by the offender, who proceeded to physically assault the victim.

The victim sustained head injuries, but didn’t require hospital treatment.

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident and are appealing for information regarding the incident.

Staff investigator Rebecca Concannon, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may recognise the individual in this image to please get in touch as they may have vital information about this incident.

“I would also like to appeal to any passengers who may have witnessed the incident, to please get in touch.

“Additionally, if you were in the area at the time, I’d ask that you check for any dash-cam, or CCTV footage that could assist our enquiry to please come forward.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
