That the Russian monk:
Grigori Rasputin,
Is less well-known for
Putting-the-boot-in,
Or dying by drowning,
Poisoning and shooting,
Than being the subject
Of a Boney M song,
Which, given his history,
Is all kinds of … wrong,
And yet … it’s very catchy,
So, I for one … sing along … and
Given the chance, dance to
The tune of his bad-boy sex appeal,
Though I’m quick to diss that feature
Of female nature as … “not ideal”,
Amazing … the hypocrisy …
A seventies pop-song can reveal!
