PLAYER RATINGS: Reading FC shine in emphatic 4-0 win

Reading earn another important win at home as they put on a show for fans.

Reading FC put on a show for their fans with an empathic 4-0 win at home to grow to gap between them and the relegation spots.

A collection of goals from Sam Smith and Femi Azeez along with two wonder strikes from Lewis Wing and Kelvin Ehibatiomhan earnt Reading an important win at home.

Joel Pereira – 7 – Had some shaky passes around back line thanks to a high press, but he did produce a phenomenal double save to deny Kachunga and keep the lead at 2-0.

Clinton Mola – 7 – The fullback tucked into the middle and helped create some promising plays down the right.

Ben Elliott – 6 –  The attacker won several fouls down the left flank and had a good link up play with Knibbs before being taken off.

Harvey Knibbs – 6- He looked bright. Brought energy into the middle of the park and helped craft some strong attacks.

Charlie Savage – 6 – He acted in a good playmaking role and was overall solid in the middle of the park.

Sam Smith – 8 – The striker performed against his former side scoring and nearly earned a brace in the second half.

Femi Azeez – 7 – Scored a great goal before the break putting it past Stevens before coming off to a standing ovation.

Jeriel Dorsett – 6 – The defender looked a bit startled in opening few moments but settled in and put in some important blocks before coming off.

Tyler Bindon – 6 – Put his body on the line with a diving headed block as he helped to marshal Lyle Taylor.

Amadou Mbengue – 6 – Again another player who performed with passion and alongside Bindon kept a good clean sheet

Lewis Wing – 8 – The captain scored an absolute blinder to make it three nil and lead the team to an important win.
