PLAYER RATINGS: Disastrous away display sees Reading collapse at QPR

READING FC are left hovering just above the relegation places after defeat on the road at Queens Park Rangers.

The Royals have now lost five Championship games on the spin and are winless in their last eight games.

LUKE SOUTHWOOD 5: Didn’t cover himself in glory for the third goal, but in fairness was not helped all day by his teammates and made a few good stops to keep the score down.

ANDY YIADOM 3: Should be performing at a much higher level given his vast experience at this level and his usually consistent displays but hasn’t hit form since returning from AFCON.

MICHAEL MORRISON 3: Hasn’t had the desired impact since returning from injury. Would have thought he’d have helped to improve the defensive record, but that hasn’t been the case.

TOM HOLMES 2: Not at the races at all during the last month. Didn’t get tight enough to Lyndon Dykes on two occasions and was punished by the QPR forward.

BABA RAHMAN 3: Sloppy in possession and in defensive areas. Better going forward and threw in a few nice crosses for Lucas Joao.

JOSH LAURENT 4: Went on a superb driving run and went down under a challenge in the box. Penalty not given and less than a minute later, QPR were in front. Summed up Reading’s day.

DANNY DRINKWATER 2: Slow, lumbering and careless. Obvious quality on the ball, but off it he’s been nowhere near at the level that is needed in a demanding division.

ANDY RINOMHOTA 5: Always puts a shift in regardless of how badly the team is performing. Required to do a job on the wing for much of the game but was missed in the middle.

JOHN SWIFT 3: Has lost his magic touch from earlier in the season when he couldn’t stop scoring and assisting goals. That has coincided with the team’s disastrous run and it’s no coincidence.

GEORGE PUSCAS 3: Lost the ball cheaply on the halfway line that led to QPR’s second goal. Hooked off at half-time for Ovie Ejaria.

LUCAS JOAO 4: Had a couple of chances in the game, both of which were with his head. The first forced a routine save, but his effort in the second half was superbly stopped by Marshall.
