Reading FC suffered a frustrating afternoon in EFL League One as they were held to a 2–2 draw by Plymouth Argyle, dropping valuable points in the race for the top six.

The Royals twice took the lead at the Select Car Leasing Stadium and looked on course for a crucial victory that would strengthen their push for the play-offs. However, Plymouth responded on both occasions to leave Reading with just a single point from a match they had hoped would reignite their promotion challenge.

With the season entering its decisive weeks, the result represents another setback for Reading as they attempt to close the gap on the play-off places. Momentum has proven difficult to build, and the dropped points could prove costly in a tightly contested battle near the top of the table.

Despite the disappointment, there were still plenty of talking points and moments of quality during an entertaining contest between the two sides.

Check out our full picture gallery for the best images from the afternoon, capturing the goals, celebrations, and key moments from Reading’s 2–2 draw with Plymouth Argyle.
