FEMI AZEEZ’s double helped Reading FC move into 18th position with a 2-0 victory over relegation rivals Charlton Athletic.
Azeez netted two second-half goals, the second of which was a stunning volley that flew into the top corner to see the Royals move above the Addicks.
The win puts Reading three points clear of the League One relegation zone.
Next up for Ruben Selles’ side is another six pointer, this time away at Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night.
Fleetwood, who are managed by former Royal Charlie Adam, are currently 23rd spot on 25 points.
Having won two of their last three matches, Fleetwood have given themselves a fighting chance of survival.
