THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the M4, between junctions 13 and 12.

At around 9.54pm on Sunday, August 10, a dark grey Volkswagen Polo was travelling eastbound from junction 13 towards junction 12 on the M4 motorway, before leaving the carriageway to the nearside, falling into the verge and out of view.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin has been informed and are being supported by officers.

Investigating officer PC John Kelly, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “Firstly I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family of the woman who sadly died in the accident.

“An investigation has been launched, and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or in the moments leading up to it.
