Students at Oakbank School in Reading are celebrating their GCSE results, including Yasmine Rhouma, who achieved all Grade 9s.
She was closely followed by her peer Lucy White who achieved all 8s and 9s in an exceptional set of results for the pair.
A Head Student at Oakbank, Yasmine also represented the school as an Anthem Trust Timi Champion; she used her work experience to support the school with the reorganisation of the library.
Oakbank says that Yasmine is an “exceptional student”, who showed incredible kindness to her peers in and outside of lessons, whether supporting them with revision, lending a listening ear, or being a champion of their successes.
The school also described Lucy as a “phenomenal student” and an “extraordinary example of perseverance, commitment and resilience, having worked incredibly hard over her five years at Oakbank in all her subjects”.
Esther Marshall, Interim Headteacher at Oakbank School, said: “Congratulations to all our students at Oakbank as they receive their GCSEs.
“A particular shout-out to Yasmine and Lucy who have done incredibly well – they should both be very proud of their success.
“We would like to wish the Class of 2025 all the very best for the future as they move on to the next stage of employment, education or training.”
