A NEW exhibition is coming to Reading in October with Select Car Leasing.

The SCL Stadium will welcome businesses and fleet professionals and invite them to immerse themselves in all aspects of electric vehicle, with more than 40 of the market’s leading battery-powered vehicles available to explore.

For local businesses looking to make the switch to electric, there are expert-led advice sessions on running battery-powered fleets, from EV charging to employee salary sacrifice schemes.

Among the guest speakers is Adrian Keen, consultant and former CEO with Instavolt, the rapid EV charging network specialists.

Adrian will be talking about how the transition to EVs can be accelerated through easy, reliable public charging.

One lucky guest will win a free lease vehicle for a period of six months, to be revealed closer to the date of the event.

A VIP box at Reading FC is also up to be won for a matchday experience.

Shane Pither, Head of Select Electric at Select Car Leasing, said: “Whether you’ve already jumped on board the electric bandwagon or you’re completely new to the wonderful world of EVs, Select Live is the event for you.

“Explore the latest in electric and hybrid technology, with hands-on vehicle displays, expert-led talks, and live demonstrations.

“Whether you’re electrifying your fleet as a business or simply curious about what’s next, there’s something here for every professional.”

He explained: “Select Live is also your chance to get up close and personal with the Tesla Cybertruck.

“It’s a controversial pick-up not to be missed, with its angular stainless steel exoskeleton – and ‘Cyberbeast’ models boasting power of 845hp as well as the ability to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds.

“Besides attention-grabbing cars from Tesla, you’ll also be able to experience EVs from Audi, Polestar, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, CUPRA, Maserati, BYD and more.

“You can also take a look at new EVs and hybrids from Chinese brands like Xpeng and Jaecoo.

“We’re confident Select Live will be the best car show Reading has seen in years.”

The Select Live EV expo takes place at the SCL stadium on October 2, and is free to attend but spaces are limited.
