AN INSPIRING group of neurodivergent actors aged from seven to 28 are set to bring Yankee Doodle Doo: The American Story of Dr Dolittle to life at South Street Arts Centre.
Make/Sense Theatre’s Creative Youth Assembly will take its audience on a joyful adventure through the Big Band era of mid-century America.
In this production, Dr Dolittle has lost his status as a famous Las Vegas act after scaring audiences away with his penchant for befriending dangerous animals, but a tribe of turtles need his help.
His challenge to save them takes him to Hawaii, where he may have to call on the help of the Pan Am Parakeets.
The performances take place at 7pm on July 20 and 21.
Tickets are £12 and can be purchased online.
