A POP-UP charity shop in Reading town centre has won a national award.
The Charity Super.Mkt in The Oracle scooped the Outstanding Contribution to Charity Retail honour at the Charity Retail Awards on Wednesday, June 28.
The initiative which launched at the former Topshop unit at Brent Cross shopping centre in north London in January and has since toured the country. The Reading stop was so successful that its stay was extended.
It was awarded the gong for being the first pop-up of its kind to bring charities together under one roof. Snce its launch, Charity Super.Mkt has raised over £627,000.
The brand will also open pop-ups in Glasgow, Bristol and Bluewater this summer.

Held at the Harrogate Convention Centre, the awards were part of the Charity Retail Association’s annual flagship Conference. Other gongs included Campaign of the Year, the Environmental and Sustainability Award and the Technology Award, with charities invited to demonstrate their achievements and developments in marketing, green initiatives and technological innovations.
