We have three great new tracks for you to tune in to this week, including tunes from Who Are All The Cayons and Kyros. Both have gigs in the area over the coming weeks.

But topping our 10 is Lonely Robot’s unique collaboration with Kim Seviour, originally a bonus track on The Big Dream.

You’ll love it, and the nine other tunes to listen to.

Each week, there are 10 great acts in our playlist. Tune in for free on Spotify at: bit.ly/rawsoundstoday.

Don’t forget, we’ve got a Facebook group too with some lively banter. Search the social networking site for RaW Sounds Today and join in the fun.

Lonely Robot – Why Do We Stay?

Last year Reading-based musician and producer John Mitchell was invited to play some acoustic shows in France, Germany and Holland.

They went so well that a London show was arranged for earlier this month at The Camden Club and it was a sell-out.

John was joined throughout the set by his friend and fellow musician Jez Fielder, who was the perfect companion for John’s evening of Songs and Stories providing guitar and backing vocals to complement John’s excellent voice and musicianship.

He also was the perfect foil to John, with some hilarious banter between the two musicians during the fascinating reminiscences.

The songs came from throughout John’s career plus one or two covers with the duo also being joined on stage for a couple of songs by vocalist, Leddra Chapman. Watch out for a new album from her later this year.

She sang two excellent duets with John including this brilliant song. That’s a good excuse to give it a listen here. It’s one of my all-time faves and this version, where John duets with the wondrous Kim Seviour, was a bonus track on his Lonely Robot album The Big Dream.

A good reminder of an impressive evening of music, humour and emotion. It was wonderful. – https://johnmitchellhq.com/
