Multiple emergency services attending road incident on Kings Road

EMERGENCY services were called to a serious traffic collision on Kings Road, Reading, on Tuesday afternoon, though the A329, Kings Road, where a teenage girl was struck by a bus.

The road into central Reading was closed as police, ambulance, and fire and rescue services attended the scene, with multiple police cars and ambulances, as well as fire trucks, on the scene.

Thames Valley Police has now confirmed that a teenage girl was struck by a bus, and has sustained serious injuries which are currently undergoing hospital treatment.

The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening at this time.

Bus services into central Reading are being diverted via London Road.

The pedestrian, a teenage
girl, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. They are not
believed to be life threatening.
An investigation is ongoing.
