READING Central MP Matt Rodda has released a statement in the wake of violence in towns and cities across the UK in the last week.
He posted to social media on Thursday, August 8, to say: “Reading is a diverse and tolerant community, we are proud of our town. Residents are concerned about recent unacceptable events across the country.
“Racism and thuggery are completely unacceptable and those involved will face the full force of the law.
“I would like to give my thanks to our excellent local police who are working hard to protect and reassure our community– I would ask anyone who has any information to contact the police.
“I am listening to local community concerns, could anyone who has a concern they want to raise contact me.”
