Mortimer man charged in connection with string of sexual assaults

A READING man has been charged in connection with multiple sexual assaults in West Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Anthony Clarke, aged 65 and of Stephens Firs, Mortimer, was charged on Sunday, March 29, in connection with three counts of sexual assaults.

The charges are in relation to three separate incidents; one incident on September 13, 2022, on Ewing Way, in Newbury; a second incident on May 30 last year, on Johnson Road in High Wycombe; and a third incident on June 17 last year, on Holmsdale Close in Iver.

Clarke was bailed in police custody on Sunday, March 29, and is now due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 29 April.
