THE MET Office has issued multiple weather warnings over the weekend for the majority of the UK, including Reading.
A Yellow warning is in place as heavy snow is expected across most of England and much of Scotland on Friday, January 4, as well as freezing rain in northern and central England through the weekend.
While heavier snow is expected to move north, snowfall is expected to be shortlived in south England.
Dangerous driving conditions are expected, and some disruption to road, rail, and air travel are to be expected.
Power cuts may occur in some parts of the UK and some mobile phone coverage could be affected.
Amber warnings of snow and ice are in place for Sunday, January 5.
