ONE OF Reading’s main roads is being celebrated this weekend with music, dance, and giants.
The Oxford Road Giant Parade is coming to the town centre, bringing live performances from DJs, musicians, and puppeteers.
Chanya, a 4m tall puppet community nurse will be giving messages of care and wellbeing at Broad Street Mall.
DJ Steve and singer Nichole Thelma Grace will be performing, with a carnival rhythm sessions held by Go Dynamite and a dance class with MCDC.
There is also a giant flag making activity ahead of the parade.
The event is organised by the High Street heritage Action Zone and designed to celebrate the diversity of the communities on Oxford Road.
The Oxford Road Giant Parade takes place at Broad Street Mall from 1pm on Saturday, March 23.
Attendance is free to attend, no booking necessary.
