THAMES Valley Police has charged a man with murder following the death of a man in Reading.
Ryan Basden, 26 and of no fixed abode, has been charged with a single count of murder today, Wednesday, August 21.
It relates to an incident of assault which took place outside Reading train station at around 8.45pm on Saturday, July 20.
The victim, 60-year-old John Donovan, from West Berkshire, was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which included head trauma.
Mr Donovan died while in hospital on Sunday, August 11.
Basden remains in police custody and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, August 22.
Officers have also arrested a 39-year-old man from Slough on suspicion of Section 18, grievous bodily harm with intent, and a 20-year-old woman from Reading, on suspicion of inflicting GBH.
