AN ATTEMPTED bank robbery has taken place at a bank in Woodley.

According to reports, the Lloyds Bank on Crockhamwell Road was subject to the attempt this morning, Wednesday, January 18.

A note on the bank’s door reads: “Due to a security incident, we regret we will not be open today.”

A police cordon remains in place with a number of officers attending the scene and inquiries ongoing.
