AN EXPLORATION of the climate emergency is coming to Reading town centre on Saturday.
Dr Till Kuhlbrodt is to give the annual lecture at Reading Minster church, and organisers say it is aimed at a non-specialist audience.
It is entitled Extreme Weather and Global Heating: Why It Happens, And What We Can Do About It.
Based at the University of Reading’s department of meteorology, Dr Kulbdrodt has explored the effects of the climate emergency on humans, plants, animals, oceans and places.
The session starts at 2pm, on Saturday, October 21, and is held in the church, based in St Mary’s Butts. Places are free, and there will be a retiring collection towards costs.
Refreshments will be served after.
