AN EVENT in Reading is raising funds for charity with a night of music in Reading.
Laura’s Lasting Legacy will celebrate the life of Laura, who died by suicide earlier this year, while also marking World Mental Heath Day.
Some of the borough’s best DJs will be performing, including Heavy Pop, Jamie from Rum and Donuts, Tim Hooper, Tracks & Grooves, and Gilbert.
The event will also see a mega raffle including prizes such as cinema tickets and festival tickets.
A special cocktail has been brewed by hosts Milk Bar, the proceeds of which will go to the Laura’s Lasting Legacy fund.
The fund will benefit a number of small organisations who champion mental health issues.
World Mental Health Day was established on October 10,1992, by the World Federation for Mental Health.
“Since, it has been observed every year with the aim of raising awareness in the global community about critical mental health agendas through collaboration with various partners to take action and create lasting change.
