EASTER eggs have been given to delighted charities thanks to the combined efforts of borough Lions, Rotarians, and Reading based biker group Thames Vale Vultures.
Around 1800 of the chocolate treats collected by the Vultures were delivered by Lions and Rotarians on Good Friday to lucky organisations throughout Berkshire.
The Rotary Club of Reading Abbey sent the eggs to The Weller Centre in Caversham, Whitley Community Development Association, Ways and Means Trust, Berkshire Women’s Aid and Wyfold Riding for the Disabled.
Peter Mason from The Rotary Club of Reading Abbey said: “It was great to be able to spread a bit of chocolate joy.
“As a club we aim to help out in the community, and be of service.
“And as in previous years when we’ve delivered Easter eggs, it has been great to collaborate with the Lions and the Thames Vale Vultures.”
