A GROUP of Inner Wheel knitters and crafters produced colourful items for charity at their club celebration.
Members of the Inner wheel club of Reading Maiden Erlegh were celebrating 101 years of the club’s activities, raising money for charitable causes.
As they created cards and blankets at St Nicholas Church Hall, Earley, the group welcomed visitors to the hall cafe who popped in to see what was happening.
Member Dorothy Simpson, said: “We managed to have a lot of fun while making our blankets and cards for various charities, with most members of us attending.
“Our laughter and chatting prompted a number of visitors to the cafe to come and investigate just what we were doing.
“We always welcome newcomers, and invite anyone who would like to join the group to call us.”
