A MAN in his 80s has gone missing, and police have launched an urgent appeal to try and find him.

Clive, who is from Lower Earley, was last seen leaving home at 10.30am on Tuesday, September 20.

He drove off in his red Mazda 3.

The 81-year-old was wearing a brown cardigan, dark brown trousers, a navy coat, possibly with a Landrover logo on it and a cap with a peak, which was grey and yellow in colour.

Inspector Alan McIlwain, based at Newbury police station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Clive, who was reported missing by his family on Tuesday evening after not returning home.

“His vehicle was captured on ANPR heading towards Winchester in Hampshire on Tuesday, and so as well as releasing an image of Clive, I am also releasing an image of his vehicle.

“I am appealing to anybody who knows of Clive’s whereabouts to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference number 43220423387.

“If you see Clive, please call us immediately on 999.”

He added: “This is out of character for Clive, and we are eager to locate him as soon as we can.”
