Reading FC manager Ruben Selles admitted that he feels ‘honoured’ that the Royals’ fans are planning to unveil a flag in dedication to him.
The fans crowdfunded more than £2000 to pay towards the flag which is expected to be revealed for the final game of the season at home against Blackpool.
“I feel honoured that they feel like that about me,” said Selles.
“I really didn’t expect it and they just showed me this morning .
“I don’t think I deserve it but it’s always good they pay tribute to the work and feel we’re doing the best we can do.
“Hopefully we can solve relegation before they unveil the flag and then everyone can be happy.”
Selles’ side will be in for a tough test tomorrow when they face in-form Lincoln City, who have gone on a run of 15 games without defeat which as them challenging for a place in the play-offs.
He continued: “Absolutely they are a good team and the reference we have from the first game is different because they used very well the transfer window to get some things to make their team competitive.
“We will be ready for the challenge and will try to win the game.
“The opponent is different now with different patterns, some different players and dynamics.”
The boss will have a full squad available for selection other than Sam Hutchinson who is currently the only first-team player out with injury.
He said: “He (Tom Holmes) has been in training the last three days so he can be available and in the squad.
“The only player we have training with the physios is Sam Hutchinson, all the other players are available.”
