Hennerton Golf Club hosted its Ladies Invitation day last month.

As one of the highlights of the golfing calendar, Members of the Ladies’ Section invite guests from other golf clubs to play a round of golf, followed by lunch.

The day was organised and hosted by Lady Captain, Liz Deaney. Members and guests had a thoroughly enjoyable day, and the atmosphere was tremendous. The raffle raised a £401. The Lady Captain generously donated the proceeds of the raffle to ‘Me2Club’ which is the Captains’ charity this year.

The Team Challenge event, which took place on August 29 consisted of four players, each player representing ‘Clubhouse’, ‘Ladies Section’, ‘Men’s Section’ or ‘Senior Section’.

The playing format is Stableford scoring, and depending on scores at the end of the round, each member of a group won four, three, two or one point.

After the game, golfers enjoyed lunch before the results were announced. In 4th place were the Seniors with 24 points, a tie for 2nd place for the Men and the Clubhouse and a resounding win by the Ladies with 36 points.
