A man has been charged with multiple rape and sexual assault offences following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
Andrew Dent, 54, of Desborough Road, High Wycombe, was charged on Tuesday (24 February) with nine counts of rape, five counts of sexual assault by penetration, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of voyeurism.
The charges relate to allegations involving two women who were attacked on separate occasions after meeting a man through a dating website or application.
One woman, in her 30s and from South Wales, is alleged to have been raped, sexually assaulted and strangled at a hotel in West Berkshire on the evening of 19 June 2024. Police said intimate photographs were also taken without her consent.
The second woman, in her 50s and from London, is alleged to have been attacked at an address in Henley-on-Thames on the evening of 26 October 2024.
Mr Dent has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday (4 March).
Thames Valley Police said its investigation is ongoing.
