WHEN EURO 2024 kicks off in a few weeks’ time, there will be many hat tricks scored, and not necessarily by Europe’s best strikers… it’s just as likely that Mrs Bloggs from Coley will net one too.

It’s all thanks to a new summer menu coming soon to McDonald’s.

Taking pride of place just in time for weeks of top-quality sporting action with the Euros and the Olympics is its new Hat Trick burger.

Costing £5.89, or £7.69 for a meal, this comprises not one, not two but three burgers, with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup all in the new glazed sesame seed bun.

It’s not the only item on the new summer menu.

If you’re watching a game with friends, then a new Sharebox could be just the thing.

One Sharebox comprises nine Chicken Selects with three Select dips (£8.49), while a variety box (£10.59) comprises six Chicken Selects, 12 chicken McNuggets and two McNugget dips and two Select dips – the choice includes an improved Garlic Mayo, a Sweet and Smoky BBQ, and the popular Sweet Chilli.

Mozzarella Bites also return, served with a rich tomato dip (£2.39). McDonald’s promise a warm and gooey centre and a crispy coating.

Summer means ice cream and there is a Skittles McFlurry joining a line-up that includes the return of the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry.

The Skittle version sees chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugar pearls mixed in the ice cream, topped with a purple Skittles-flavour sauce.

These are both £2.19 each.

Another new addition will be the Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie (£1.99), a crispy chocolate pastry filled with smooth chocolate ganache and a delightful raspberry compote.

And the Iced Latte (£2.49) will be back on the menu, but this time for good.

A spokesperson said: “For those craving that big win in this year’s Summer of Sport, McDonald’s has unveiled an exciting new menu built for fans.”

They will be available later this month from branches across the country, including Reading’s Friar Street, Oracle and Oxford Road restaurants, and the Lower Earley branch in Wokingham.
