A NEWS care home is set to open in Calcot.

Friends of the Elderly, a charity supporting older people across England and Wales through residential, nursing and dementia care as well as grants has announced opening of its brand-new residential care home, Friends Place.

It will offer residential, dementia, and respite care, as well as a day care service, delivered by an experienced care team.

It will also feature a range of facilities including a cinema, beauty salon, bar, garden room, landscaped grounds, and multiple comfortable communal spaces.

Residents will be able to enjoy a busy calendar of activities, such as garden parties, exercise classes, live entertainment and crafts,with dining options restaurant-style spaces.

Friends of the Elderly is celebrating its 120th Anniversary this year.

Alina Gutu, General Manager, said: “Friends Place is a home in every sense of the word.
