The destination of the Reading Sunday League premier division crown went down to the final few minutes at The Atrium on Sunday morning.

In front of a crowd of more than 300, FC BAPCO scored two late goals to leapfrog opponents Burghfield and secure a fourth consecutive title.

The Fielders had only needed a point to take the title themselves, and their bid for silverware was almost successful, with the winning BAPCO goals coming inside the final ten minutes.

The game proved to be a fantastic advert for Sunday league football.

FC BAPCO can add to their trophy haul on Friday night, when they take on Southcote in the Reading Sunday League Tilehurst Charity Cup final at the SCL stadium (7pm kick-off).

Westwood Wanderers collected silverware of their own at the SCL stadium on Friday night.
