Former Reading FC boss Ruben Selles is reportedly in the running to be the new Huddersfield Town manager having been recently sacked by Hull City.
Selles managed to keep Hull in the Championship on the final day of the season by picking up a point away at Portsmouth which meant that Lutown Town were relegated.
However, the Hull City board made the decision to sack Selles which means they will be looking at appointing their fourth manager in a little over a year.
Selles managed at Reading for 18 months under difficult circumstances and managed to have the Royals in the play-off positions when he departed to join Hull in December 2024.
Football reporter Alan Nixon revealed that Huddersfield are now considering appointing the Spaniard as their new boss.
The Terriers, who finished in 10th position in League One last season, have been without a permanent manager since March since Michael Duff was sacked. Jon Worthington has been caretaker manager since then.
Meanwhile, the Royals are looking forward to a brighter future under new owner Rob Couhig who sealed the deal to purchase the club from Dai Yongge last week.
Noel Hunt’s side finished just one place outside the play-off places last season and will have their sights on another top six push this coming campaign.
