Former Reading FC manager Ruben Selles has made a quick return to management having endured a difficult and short spell with Championship side Sheffield United.
The Spaniard lasted just five weeks at the Blades and lost five league matches which led to his early sacking.
Selles replaced Chris Wilder after he was controversially dismissed by Sheffield United despite finishing on92 points and only missing out on promotion to the Premier League with defeat in the play-off final.
Following a 5-0 hammering at Ipswich Town Selles was sacked and United reappointed Wilder.
Selles has now made a quick return to management and has been appointed as the new boss of Spanish second division side Real Zaragoza.
Zaragoza are in a tricky position and are currently bottom of La Liga 2, the second tier of Spanish football.
They have won just one of their 10 league matches which leaves them five points adrift of moving out of the relegation places with Selles now tasked with trying to keep them in the division.
This is now Selles’ fourth job in less than a year having originally departed Reading in December 2024 to join Championship Hull City.
Despite keeping Hull in the Championship he was sacked and subsequently joined Sheffield United in the summer.
He is now looking to revamp his reputation with a new challenge in Spain.
