Southern Region Women’s Premier

ASCOT UNITED strengthened their lead at the top of the table by getting the better of Oxford City with a clinical six-goal performance.

Up against the side in third position, Ascot put on a show worthy of a team at the top of the table by flying into a 4-1 lead before the break despite going down to an early goal.

A double from Sarah Leonard, and goals from Amelia Kimble, Philippa Holden, Alix Todd and Amelia Alves Martins helped the Yellas to a spectacular 6-2 win.

The result means that Ascot end the calendar year at the top of the tree having collected 25 points from 10 games, giving them a five point buffer.

ASHRIDGE PARK moved up to sixth in the table by collecting their fifth win in eight league matches.

Up against Goring United, goals from Katie Sayer and Lilly May Varney helped them to a 2-1 away success.

The result puts them onto 16 points and with games in hand to play on all of the sides above them in the table, other than Tilehurst Panthers.

WARGRAVE lost out 2-1 narrowly to Banbury United at home which puts them in seventh after 12 matches.

Thames Valley Women’s Division Two

S4K LADIES got their first league win of the season under their belt in a 10-goal game with SANDHURST WOLVES.

There were goals from Grace Benton, Ella Maynard, Ruby Weatherley and Ellie Berridge for Sandhurst.

While doubles from Megan Cox and Joanna Liddell were followed by goals from Claudia Periquito and Erin Simmons to see the Fawkes finish as 6-4 victors.

The win moves them S4K level on points with Sandhurst and Denham United Reserves, but the Fawkes stay bottom of the table on goal difference.

Thames Valley Women’s Division 3S

YATELEY UNITED remain top of the table despite suffering their first league defeat of the campaign.

They lost out 3-2 away at Hawley, but stay two points above second placed FINCHAMPSTEAD who could overtake them with two games in hand to play.

FINCHAMPSTEAD made it eight wins from nine to keep the heat on the league leaders with a 4-2 success against AFC READING.

Amy Scott bagged a brace and Chloe Bagshaw and Alana Cashmore were also on the scoresheet to help their side to a 4-2 win.

WARGRAVE RESERVES lost 2-0 in their home clash with Harefield United which leaves them one place above the bottom.

Thames Valley Women’s Development

BERKS COUNTY increased the gap by taking three points with an away win at WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK.

In a game pitting the sides in second and third against each other, it was the Swords who impressed to pick up a 3-0 triumph.

Jess Brome-Mbaya, Lucie Harvey and Kiah Owen netted to help them to three points, which puts them five points ahead of the Sumas in second place, while they are nine points behind leaders Rotherfield United but with a game in hand.
