Southern Region Women’s League Cup

ASCOT UNITED booked their place in the final four after knocking out WOODLEY UNITED in a close contest.

Sarah Leonard scored the opener to put the Yellas ahead, a lead that they took into half-time.

The Kestrels hit back quickly after the restart when Sarah Lawrence’s strike made it 1-1.

With the game heading into the final 10 minutes, Ascot scored the decisive goal when substitute Amelia Kimble converted from the penalty spot.

CAVERSHAM UNITED were eliminated after suffering a heavy defeat on the road at Woking.

Thames Valley Women’s Development

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK got back on track by getting the better of ARBORFIELD.

A first-half strike from Rebecca Greig put the Sumas in front before they netted twice more in the second-half, courtesy of Genevieve Richards and Sophie White, to seal a 3-0 win.

The Sumas are in third place on 32 points from 17 games.


Southern Region Women’s Division One North

ASCOT UNITED RESERVES missed out on the chance to climb the table after they lost out 7-2 away to Beaconsfield Town.

The Yellas are in eighth place on 16 points from 16 games.

Thames Valley Women’s Division One

ASHRIDGE PARK picked up their seventh win of the campaign with an impressive victory over the league leaders.

Ashridge raced into an early lead when Laura Comerford netted in the eighth minute of the match.

They quickly added to their advantage when Lucy Thomson doubled the lead just a few minutes later with a stunning strike.

Slough Town came fighting back and scored before the break, but Ashridge kept them at bay throughout the second-half to seal a spectacular win.

Ashridge are in fifth on 22 points from 12 games with games in hand on the teams above them in the standings.

Thames Valley Women’s Division Two

S4K LADIES claimed their third win of the campaign with a convincing home win over Harwell and Hendred.

The Fawkes scored twice in each half to pick up three points as a Megan Cox double and goals from Joanna Liddell and Kate Stewart helped them to a 4-1 success.

The win lifts S4K up to sixth position in the table onto 12 points.

SANDHURST WOLVES remain bottom of the table after their 6-4 defeat at East Oxford.

Thames Valley Women’s Division 3S

FINCHAMPSTEAD maintained their superb run of form by winning their 14th game in 15 matches.

Lauren Bagshaw, Lauren Chennells and Ebony Day were all on the scoresheet to see Finch to a 3-0 win over Brook House.

Finch have a four point lead at the top over closest challengers Yateley United.

YATELEY UNITED stay hot on the heels of Finch in the title race after their 4-1 success at Taplow United.

A goal from Issie Hardie and a hat-trick from Courtney Smith saw Yateley to their 12th win of the season to move them onto 38 points.
