Southern League Premier South

BRACKNELL TOWN climbed up the table with an emphatic home success over third placed Chesham United.

The Robins struck twice in each half to earn an impressive win over the side who had lost just one match in their last 15 league games prior to their trip to the SB Stadium.

Goals from Jordan Esprit and Nana Owusu gave Bracknell a two-goal cushion before the break which was then extended by a Joe Grant double to seal a 4-0 triumph.

Isthmian South Central

ASCOT UNITED were dealt a home loss to Southall which saw them lose 3-1 to the side in second position.

BINFIELD remain bottom of the table after they lost at home to Thatcham Town.

The Moles found themselves four goals down at the break and despite a spirited late comeback with three goals in the final 10 minutes, Binfield lost 5-3.

Combined Counties Premier North

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK lost out at Lowther Road as Virginia Water established their place in the top three.

The result leaves the Sumas in 14th on 15 points from 14 matches.

READING CITY added a point on the road in a goalless draw at Risborough Rangers to put the Cityzens in 10th spot on 18 points from 10 matches.

FA Vase first-round

WOODLEY UNITED were eliminated by Egham Town after a closely fought cup tie.

Egham opened the scoring nine minutes into the match before Josh ??? levelled for the Kestrels.

The hosts then raced into a 3-1 lead in the second-half and despite a Connor Suckling goal to make it 3-2, Woodley were unable to complete a comeback.

 

EVERSLEY & CALIFORNIA were knocked out of the FA Vase away at Cobham.

Joe Pantony and Ciaran Carolan were on the scoresheet for the Boars, but they were beaten 4-2.

Combined Counties Division One

YATELEY UNITED and BERKS COUNTY couldn’t be separated as they shared the points in their contest.

Yateley went in front through Tom Rudall’s goal, but County hit back late in the day to ensure that they picked up a point with Ebby Opuku-Ware’s goal to make the game 1-1.

The Swords are in third on 32 points, while Yateley are just behind in fifth, also on the same number of points.

FINCHAMPSTEAD flew through to the next round of the competition with a 4-2 success at home to Kintbury Rangers.

Joel Day was in clinical form as he hit a hat-trick after Alex Woodhead had opened the scoring just five minutes in.

BURGHFIELD also booked their place in the next round with a victory against Old Windsor.

Lewis Butcher netted a double to see them get past Old Windsor with a 2-1 win.

READING YMCA suffered a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat after their entertaining tie with Windsor & Eton.

After the cup tie ended 2-2, it had to be decided from the spot and it was Windsor who squeezed through with a 5-4 shootout win.

WARGRAVE crashed out with a 4-1 home defeat to Shrivenham.
