Football round-up: Ascot United close gap on first place, Berks County pick up point

Southern Region Women’s Division One North

ASCOT UNITED RESERVES closed the gap on first place with a thumping win over CAVERSHAM UNITED.

A brace from Sarah Jones and goals from Louise Pullen, Keren Banduka, Keziah Banduka, Stephanie Ferreira and Tiffany Skinner helped the Yellas to a 7-0 triumph.

Thames Valley Women’s Division One

ASHRIDGE PARK lost out to top of the table Larkspur Rovers 4-1.

The result leaves Ashridge in 5th place on 14 points from eight games.

CAVERSHAM AFC sit top of the table after they made it six wins from nine with a 3-1 away win against East Oxford thanks to a Pia Davis hat-trick.

S4K LADIES are in sixth following their goalless draw at home to Kingsclere.

BERKS COUNTY are in third after they picked up a point against second placed Taplow United.

The points were shared following a six goal game which saw strikes from Olivia Aluko, Mya Denny and Kiah Owen for Berks.
