FIVE people had to be rescued from a vehicle stuck in flood water last week.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to Deans Copse Road in Theale at 6.40pm on Thursday, January 4.
The afternoon had seen heavy rain fall as Storm Henk made its presence felt, leading to localised flooding across the region.
The road is next to Pingewood Lakes and behind the Moto Reading M4 Westbound Services.
Crews from Wokingham and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside a Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station.
Five people were trapped in the vehicle, and crews helped them get out. Afterwards, they handed over to Thames Valley Police.
In all, they were on the scene for 20 minutes.
