A CHARITY that helps women get back to work is hosting a pop-up shop this weekend, offering new and pre-loved fashion bargains from just £5.

Smart Works Reading is opening the doors of its centre in London Street so people can browse their racks of goodies.

Items will include pieces from brands such asCape Cove and The Fold plus preloved designer pieces from the likes of Moschino and DVF by Diane von Furstenberg.

Sales will help the charity’s work in providing outfits for unemployed women, as well as coaching to help give confidence ahead of any job interviews.

Smart Works Reading says it has helped more than 1,750 women, with 69% getting a job with a month of visiting.

Alex Williams, fundraising trustee for Smart Works Reading said: “It’s the best place in Reading to grab really high quality preloved fashion and some amazing new with labels bargains.

“What’s more, every penny spent at the sale will go towards funding our transformational job interview dressing and coaching service.

“This is the ultimate guilt-free shopping opportunity.”

It takes place from 9.30am to 1pm on Saturday, September 16, with a limited number early bird tickets available for bargain hunters. These are £15, while normal entry is £2.
