A VENUE in Reading is welcoming some of the town’s music scene stalwarts for a fundraiser this week.
Facebar is set to host an evening of live music and DJs in aid of Laura’s Lasting Legacy.
Among those taking to the stage are The Drop, a nine-piece dub-reggae outfit featuring horns and percussion, as well as post-punk purveyors Kill Committee, and This., who bring lo-fi indie post-punk fusion.
The Push DJs and Ensision will also be taking to the decks at the event.
Laura’s Lasting Legacy celebrates the life of Laura, who died by suicide last year, and raises funds to create grass-roots support for issues of mental health, bereavement, and suicide.
Laura’s partner, Paul, has raised nearly £7,000 in her memory.

The event takes place at Facebar, Ambrose Place, from 7pm on Saturday, July 19.
