Reading Embroiderers Guild is holding an exhibition of its work to mark its anniversary.
The group, which is 78-years-old this year, is a long-established organisation which produces beautiful examples of traditional and modern stitch craft.
The exhibition takes place at Lady Sew & Sew fabric warehouse on Farm Rd, Henley-on-Thames, between September 16 and 29.
During the pandemic, the Embroiderers Guild changed its format and many of the affiliated branches became independent groups. Newly formed as Reading Embroiderers, it was keen to maintain contact with members and a challenge was set up to keep people stitching.
Every member was sent a piece of fabric and given carte blanche to stitch, the only condition being that each piece was then circulated to three further members. The resultant pieces were made into the Covid Quilt that can be seen at this exhibition.
The group meets near Palmer Park eight times a year on the last Wednesday of the month between 10am and 3.30pm
