READING EAST MP Matt Rodda has offered his condolences to the family of a suspected murder victim.
Last night, police were called to a home in Elgar Road, Reading.
The body of a man in his 70s was found at the scene.
Forensic police have been investigating all day, and sealed off parts of the road, although it is open to vehicles.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in police custody at this time.
Mr Rodda told Reading Today: “I’d like to offer my condolences to this gentleman’s family.
“Anyone who has any information, however small, about this incident should come forward.”
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard of the Major Crime Unit, said: “I am appealing to anybody who has been in the vicinity of Elgar Road on 30 November or 1 December and witnessed or heard any disturbance or saw an altercation to please contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting incident reference 1958 of 1 December.
“I would also urge anybody who was driving in the area to please check your dash-cam and get in touch if it has captured anything that may assist in this investigation.
