THIS YEAR marks the 20th anniversary of the modern Christmas classic, Elf.
The movie, starring Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel, has been full of festive cheer since 2003, and a celebratory screening is to take place in a Reading town centre venue next weekend.
BrewDog in Castle Street is welcoming families on Sunday, December 10 for the event, where its limited edition Elf lager – a 4.5% beer that is only on sale to adults – will be available. These will be the final stocks for the company as its collaboration with Warner Bros has been a smash-hit.
CEO of BrewDog, James Watt, said: “Our Elf x BrewDog beer flew off the shelves quicker than any of us could’ve expected.
“Thankfully, we knew it’d be a hit, so we held some stock back to make sure that everyone who comes to the temporary BrewDog cinemas, can taste the best festive beer whilst enjoying the ultimate festive film. So, don’t be a Cottonheaded Ninnymuggins – head down to BrewDog Reading to enjoy the experience.”
The event starts at 4pm and tickets cost £5 for adults, with a glass of mulled cider, and £3 for children.
